WebForPhone Acquisition FAQ
On November 17, 2010, Voxeo announced the acquisition of WebForPhone This page provides more information and links.
Why did Voxeo acquire WebForPhone?
With WebForPhone, Voxeo acquired a strategic hosting business for the financial, retail, and healthcare markets - and a great set of technical people with deep experience in self-service speech applications. For over five years Voxeo has grown aggressively both directly and via acquisitions. Nearly 30% of Voxeo's employees originally joined Voxeo as part of an acquisition. Our latest acquisition continues this trend.
Will WebForPhone continue as a separate company?
No, the WebForPhone staff, customers and operations are being integrated into Voxeo. The WebForPhone staff are already working closely with their Voxeo counterparts. WebForPhone customers are already experiencing the enhanced support capabilities and availability they now have as Voxeo customers.
Will there be any changes for current WebForPhone customers?
No. Their applications continue to operate just as they always have. Over time we will work with the customers to migrate their applications to Voxeo Voice Objects On-Demand so that they can receive the benefits of newer technology and potentially expand their applications to offer multi-channel customer interaction over voice, text messaging (SMS) and more.
